Communications are excellent however with access to the M23 / M25 within only a few minutes drive and rail services to London from Chipstead and nearby Coulsdon South. The Chipstead Preservation Society actively protects the village and the annual Flower Show is a popular event. Chipstead has a golf course and clubs for cricket, football, rugby and bowls and there is even a local theatre.
To the south, Chipstead is bordered by the rural areas of Upper and Lower Gatton and Merstham.
Chipstead Property? There are many listed houses in the village, some dating back to the 16th Century as well as cottages, family houses and substantial Edwardian houses in winding lanes with very little modern development. Upper and Lower Gatton and Merstham also have period cottages, converted barns and country houses.
